Function
Predicitive Maintenance Planning with ZF Infrastructure and Driveline Monitoring
In the infrastructure and driveline monitoring system, the VCU Pro Onboard Unit serves as a secure gateway, by triggering measurements and collecting data from the Bluetooth® wireless sensors Heavy Duty TAG. The collected measurement and rail track data is processed by the VCU Pro Onboard Unit and securely transferred to the ZF IoT Cloud. Rail operators receive permanent analyses that help in the detection of wear, damage, and potential danger spots at an early stage. Maintenance cycles can thus be planned based on the condition, efficiency can be increased, and unplanned downtime can be avoided.
