The Smart Identification System enables digital maintenance planning of components in rail vehicles and thus efficient fleet management. Rail operators can view an overview of their entire fleet at any time and from any location.

For the Smart Identification System, the typeplate of the components is supplemented by an RFID chip with a unique identification number. The Smart Typeplate enables seamless and reliable detection of the vehicle components, for example when entering the depot. The data is transferred via an antenna gate to a secure server where customers can access it through a user-friendly dashboard. The automated, flawless identification – without directly visible contact – allows access to product and service documentations via mobile or stationary devices. Anywhere, at any time.
