Overview
SupplyOn Business Directory provides a free central database for housing up-to-date supplier master data, and is the core feature of a successful supplier management system. Information is owned and maintained by you, the supplier, giving you full control of information management, while also being fully accessible to ZF.
Unlike all other SupplyOn modules, use of Business Directory is completely free to suppliers.
ZF utilizes the Business Directory information to keep our Master Supplier records up to date & synchronized for continued sourcing, as well as to send important communications and questionnaires to suppliers.
ZF requires that all Suppliers maintain a Business Directory entry for each of their addresses with whom we do business. The supplier must enter relevant company data such as company legal name, address & DUNS#. In addition, ZF requires that suppliers maintain their company structure, contact data, quality/environmental & TISAX certificates, and manufacturing expertise in their company profile for quick access by ZF employees.
The criticality of Business Directory means that Supplier Sourcing for Production Material can actually be blocked if a supplier is not registered and maintaining the required information. This message was clearly articulated at the 2021 Global Supplier Summit in the following slide:
