Several hundred railcars are equipped with the innovative lightweight ZF gearbox: E-Rail SH 11 F-N. Thanks to its aluminum housing, it is 15 percent lighter than the products which are currently available on the North-American market. Volume production of the product tailored to fulfill the local requirements is carried out in the US.
