What can TailGUARD® provide?
This active safety solution is the commercial vehicle industry’s first Reversing Collision Avoidance System. The system is designed to detect static and moving objects in the blind spot behind the vehicle. With warning and active braking, the system assists the driver during reversing maneuvers. Features & Capabilities
- Uses two to six ultrasonic sensors to detect objects in the rear blind spot behind the vehicle
- Automatically activated when the driver shifts into reverse mode
- Warns the driver by pulsing the brakes when the reversing speed is higher than 9 km/h
- Automatic braking reversing trailers at a programmable stopping distance of 50-200 cm from detected objects
- Side markers and/or a buzzer can be used optionally to indicate the distance to objects
- iEBS Premium with integrated TailGUARD® ECU reduces installation effort by direct sensor connection, eliminating the need for an external ECU
- Applicable to trucks and trailers
