RABus – Real-world laboratory for automated driving
In accordance with the requirements of the Autonomous Vehicle Approval and Operation Ordinance, ZF Mobility Solutions provided a system that was developed specifically for the RABus project in cooperation with other partners and is able to drive highly automated and thus maneuver in mixed traffic.
This includes a modern sensor set and further technology such as the ZF ProAI high-performance computer and the ZF ProConnect communication platform. Cutting edge AD software guarantees safe and reliable, fully automated operation. A comprehensive validation strategy also guarantees that the components and systems meet the high safety and quality standards of the automotive industry.

Masdar & AlUla
Sustainable local transport
ZF Mobility Solutions also implemented autonomous transport systems in the Middle East, offering mobility solutions for passenger transport across various use cases with flexible solutions to enable our customers to achieve their sustainability goals. The live operation in Masdar covers a route of 1.5 km of length with 9 smaller scale shuttles.
With the operations on the test field in AlUla Old Town, ZF Mobility Solutions provides a tailor-made solution for the specific requirements to create sustainable touristic transportation.

Rivium Parkshuttle
ZF Mobility Solutions developed and integrated the world’s first autonomous transport system on a segregated line without a safety driver, consisting of six autonomous vehicles and all track-side components required for automated operation in a segregated lane.
A safety case was developed for commissioning and validated with extensive tests. Following a successful independent safety assessment, the system is in commercial operation and offers reliable and high-frequency operation all year round. This is monitored in accordance with the SOTIF standard.
