Local Public Transport Future Project RABus

The local public transport project “RABus” (real-life laboratory for automated bus operation in local public transport in cities and the countryside) is the first time that 2getthere vehicles are used in Germany. The goal of the project is to deploy and research electric bus shuttles up to autonomous level 4. In the real-life laboratories in the German cities of Mannheim (focus: mixed inner-city traffic) and Friedrichshafen (focus: overland operation) a local public transport operation with electrified and automated vehicles, among other things with attractive travel speeds, is to be tested by the end of 2023.
ZF Mobility Solutions is responsible for project management.
