Workshop #1
Strategic Foresight – Preparing the future(s) with the next generation
Presented by ZF
What technological revolutions does the future bring? Strategic foresight does not mean predicting the future in detail. Instead, it is about imagining various future scenarios to recognize and actively shape developments in the coming years. This requires not only creativity and expertise but also intensive dialogue with the different communities, and especially the next generation. What are their expectations for the economy, politics, and society, and how can these be taken into account in future considerations to ensure successful change?
As part of the workshop, a Strategic Foresight exercise on the theme - Mobility of the Future - will be developed with the support of Dr. Graciana Petersen, Head of the Strategy Department at ZF."
Workshop #2
Future of skills – Learning on Megatrends
Presented by ZF
The automotive industry is in the midst of change: megatrends like E-Mobility, Sustainability and Digitalization reshape not only global environment, but also impact people in companies like ZF. The upheaval changes in our industry require our employee community to integrate and master new skills and competencies. To be able to predict and adapt to the new working ways, we constantly monitor and analyze competencies of the future and match them with a data-driven approach. We then offer targeted development programs focusing on set of competencies that apply to a variety of areas and job roles within ZF. With the such models, ZF can communicate which competences are required, valued, and recognized in relation to specific job roles.
In this workshop we want to give insights in our approaches and work out together which competencies will become relevant in the future and how learning can be an important part in a transformation.
Workshop #3
From ego- to ecosystem – w/ Catena-X for more transparency and sustainability
Presented by ZF
The automotive industry is undergoing a deep transformation. New propulsion methods are capturing the market, software is increasingly defining vehicle functions, the circular economy enables the reuse of resources, and at the same time, geopolitical tensions, wars, and crises repeatedly test supply chains. To address these challenges and harness the opportunities of digitization, data plays a central role. Yet, they provide added value and value creation only when shared across corporate boundaries. The egosystem must become an ecosystem.
Following a joint input from ZF CIO Jürgen Sturm and Catena-X Chairman and BMW VP Data Driven Value Chain Oliver Ganser on the Data Space Catena-X, the chances and perspectives of data spaces concerning sustainability and transparency will be discussed together with the participants.
Workshop #4
Innovations in Space Travel - From Idea to Pitch
Presented by Airbus
Space travel is fascinating. It provides us with knowledge about space and fundamental questions in physics, gives us a completely new view of the earth and provides invaluable services for digitalization, mobility and connectivity. In recent years, space travel has developed into a dynamic growth market. Commercial players and start-ups are playing an increasingly larger role. But how does the development process in space travel work, and how do you get investors excited about new ideas? The aim of the workshop is to develop an elevator pitch for a new innovation in space travel. The goal is to concretize an idea and successfully pitch it to potential investors or customers.
Workshop #5
Mini-Hackathon by KI Garage
Presented by KI Garage
Artificial Intelligence already transforms our societies and will continue to do so through the capability to process and interpret vast amounts of data at speeds and scales unattainable by human efforts alone. Entrepreneurs harness AI in a multitude of situations including understanding customer needs, identifying market gaps and developing new tools. The KI-Garage is a program of the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung created to support the transfer of AI ideas into entrepreneurial practice and the scaling of promising AI startups.
This workshop will be organized as a short and intense Hackathon where participants will be asked to develop and pitch a startup concept based on AI technology with the support of the KI Garage team.
