What can Modular Drive System for Off-road Vehicles provide?

The new Modular Drive System for special vehicles guarantees manufacturers maximum flexibility and reliability for extreme applications. Comprising an automatic transmission, transfer case and electric motor, the modular concept is perfectly equipped for heavy use on rough terrain, airports, construction sites and more.

Details

Ready for use with many functions

Vehicle manufacturers can adapt the configuration of the modular drive system for the respective use case. This enables vehicles to drive various routes, shunting maneuvers or transfer trips in the depot purely electrically, or to use hybrid mode for medium-length routes. Furthermore, the electric motor can now support the combustion engine with an additional power boost.

Advantages

  • System solution from a single source: drive, integrated power electronics, and function electronics
  • Electric motor enables hybrid drive as well as purely electric driving, boost function, and zero-emission operation of equipment
  • Electric motor acts as retarder or recuperator, which reduces brake wear and thus maintenance costs
  • Simpler development, harmonization, and homologation thanks to proven volume production components
  • Optimized for operation at airports, on construction sites and off-road
