ThrusterCommand is the control system for ZF azimuth thrusters and tunnel thrusters. It enables precise control of propulsion and steering through an intuitive user interface. The system is an integral part of the scope of supply and includes independent backup and emergency stop functions. Additional vessel systems can be integrated according to customer requirements.

ThrusterCommand is available for all 360° steerable ZF azimuth thrusters and tunnel thrusters and can be configured to meet the specific requirements of the vessel.

  • Available for azimuth thrusters and tunnel thrusters

  • Thruster Control Unit (TCU) installed in close proximity to the thruster

  • Control panels available for bridge, engine room and additional operating stations

  • Electric or hydraulic control system available

  • Interfaces to propulsion, automation and navigation systems

  • Integration of VDR, AMS, Autopilot, DPS and other customer-specific systems

  • Follow-up control for steering and propulsion

  • Independent backup and emergency stop functionality

  • Control of multiple thrusters via a single lever

  • Automated functions for retractable and deck mounted thrusters
