Deck Mounted Azimuth Thrusters

All ZF azimuth thrusters can be customized according to the customer’s requirements. The deck mounted azimuth thruster is available as a Z-drive and delivered as a turnkey propulsion unit mounted on the deck of the vessel. The control system ThrusterCommand is an integral part of the propulsion system.

• Stem length can be chosen to suit the vessel design

• Available with diesel engine

• Radiator or keel cooling

• Available with fixed pitch propeller, optionally with GS or GT Nozzle, optimized for speed or thrust

• Depth adjustment of the propeller for operation in various water depths

• Swing out functionality for maintenance of the thruster in afloat condition

• Rope cutters, propeller protection and anodes available to protect the propulsion system

• Additional equipment such as fuel tank, fire extinguishing system or wheelhouse cabinet can be integrated

• Classification by all major classification societies
