Front Axle System RL 82 A

Maintenance-free, compact wheel bearings and optimized steering kinematics make this beam axle system both cost-effective and economical. The RL 82 A is also available as a complete axle system.

Thanks to the design of the axle beam, a wide center aisle is possible between the front wheel arches in conjunction with a floor height of no more than 350 mm. The exact kingpin bearing and fine-tuned kingpin inclination and caster ensure precise steering. The arrangement of longitudinal rods and V-rods optimized with regard to kinematics guarantees precise axle guidance in all driving situations. The steering angles of up to 55° deliver the maneuverability required for city traffic.

Like all other ZF bus axle systems, the RL 82 A is fitted as standard with state-of-the-art internally ventilated disk brake technology.
