What can Road Condition Monitoring provide?

Vehicles equipped with the Road Condition Monitoring application collect road surface condition data. ZF aggreges data from a fleet of vehicles into an up-to-date view of road roughness, locations of potholes and other road damages. The Road Condition Monitoring service is made available through an API.

Smart Chassis Sensor

The Smart Chassis Sensor is integrated into the ball joint and modular applications are possible for different control arm designs. The Vehicle level sensor can be used for dynamic light leveling, air suspensions and semi active damping. The Smart Chassis Sensor contributes by delivering road condition information and the signal input for several chassis control applications – which finally increases comfort and safety.
