ZF in Poland

The Steering Systems Plant in Czechowice-Dziedzice manufactures components for Active Safety Systems, including Steering and Power Steering Systems. The plant is a well-recognized employer in the local market, and one of the largest component suppliers in the automotive industry.

• The Engineering Center (Engineering Center) in Bielsko-Biala is the ninth of its kind in the Active Safety Division. It focuses on designing mechatronic systems, software, manufacturing prototypes and conducting acoustic, mechanical & software testing and validation for Electric Power Steering (EPS) systems.
• The Global Recruitment Center is the ZF Group's second largest Recruitment Center worldwide. It supports ZF Group units in Eastern European countries in recruitment processes, focusing on attracting the best candidates for specialized and managerial positions. It builds ZF's employer brand in the region by developing long-term relationships with student organizations, scientific bodies and universities, as well as labor market institutions operating in the region. The Center's main office is located in Bielsko-Biała.

• The Occupant Safety Systems Airbag Plant manufactures occupant impact protection systems including driver airbags, passenger airbags, knee protection airbags, side airbags, and side curtain airbags for the world's largest car manufacturers. The plant meets top quality requirements, confirmed by Quality, Environmental and Safety Management Certificates.
• The Electronics Plant manufactures in-car cameras and other components in the field of advanced systems supporting driver and passenger safety and used in the development of autonomous driving systems.
• The Engineering Center (Engineering Center) works with ZF's global network of Engineering Centers. Its activities include the design and testing of automotive safety systems. The Center consists of:
• Electronics Department, which deals with Research and Development, Algorithm Creation, Software Development, Electronics Design, Testing and Product Validation. The Department's activities focus on active safety systems based on cameras and radar, and on passive systems based on airbag and seatbelt systems.
• The Mechanical Department, which deals with Design, Product Engineering (airbags, seat belts), Modeling, also conducting Simulation and Calculation operations, creates prototypes and performs tests.
• The European Shared Services Center provides a strategic link in the finance and accounting area for the ZF Group's various plants in Europe. The EUSSC's activities support units located in Germany, the UK, France, Spain, Portugal and Italy, among others. The center provides comprehensive services in the areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Master Data, Travel&Expense, Payroll, Controlling, among others.
• In addition, since 2021, the HR Operations unit has been operating within the EUSSC, enabling global implementation of customer-focused HR solutions. The European Shared Services Center stands out in the market due to its approach based on standardization of processes, implementation of best practices and use of modern IT technologies.
• The IT Center is part of the ZF Group global IT structure. It employs system administrators, programmers, business analysts and project managers in three locations: Czestochowa, Gliwice and Lodz. The Center provides development opportunities in an international environment, contact with new technologies and interesting projects. In addition to specialized positions, the Center extends an offer to those taking their first steps in a professional environment through the IT Young Talents Development Program internships.
• The Global Purchasing Office is in charge of building a global sourcing strategy for ZF plants around the world, and is responsible for ensuring a global and sustainable competitive advantage for the ZF Group and its suppliers. It employs both buyers and cost modeling engineers in Czestochowa, Gliwice and Warsaw. For several years, it has offered a paid internship program that provides a great early step at the beginning of a career in the purchasing field.

• The Research and Development (R&D) team in Wroclaw works on development projects for the global Group. It develops – constructs and tests – components for the air brake suspension system in buses, passenger cars, road tractors and semi-trailers, as well as clutch and transmission components. The CVCS Division's R&D center in Wroclaw is home to engineers responsible for expanding the product portfolio and implementing new technologies. The global responsibilities of the Polish engineers at the CVS Division involve 137 product groups in 7 business areas. These include, for instance, the Construction Teams, the Global Test Center or the Computation and Simulation Team.
• The Global Accounting Team, based in Wroclaw, has been in place since 2015. It is responsible for 70% of all accounting activities in the Division. The GAT team works for the EMEA region with headquarters in Belgium and Switzerland, but also for the US units and for US Holdings. It is responsible for tasks in the areas of liabilities, business trips, accounts receivable, fixed assets, general ledger, and reporting to the group, as well as consolidating reports for the CVCS Division.
• REMAN Solutions specializes in remanufacturing electronic and mechatronic components, as well as conventional mechanical products originally manufactured by WABCO or other manufacturers. REMAN Solutions remanufactures components not only to make them work, but also to achieve a level of perfection by applying the latest technology and industry knowledge gained from Original Equipment (OE) production.
