Hello everyone, It’s been two months since I have joined ZF and this has been a really wonderful beginning of my career. I got selected as an International Trainee in February, 2017 after successfully going through Assessment Centre at ZF India Pvt. Ltd. My strong inclination for automotive technology was the reason I chose mechanical engineering for undergraduate studies. Working for a Global giant in automotive sector has been my goal from college days.

And now, being part of ZF feels like a dream come true!

I was pretty nervous before joining the organization but the people here made it so easy for us to sync in. It came to me as a surprise that even the President of ZF India has open doors for the trainees.
We had an induction week called as ZF’s Stepping Stone program. In this, we, the trainees, had interaction sessions with people from all different departments in the company. Those sessions were helpful in understanding the working and operations of ZF India Pvt. Ltd.

As an International Trainee my first project is with the Design and Development team of BU Chassis Systems (CYDI) in Pune (India). I started working with them after the ZF’s Stepping Stone. The HR had assigned a buddy for each new trainee from their respective departments. After joining the team, I realized that everyone in CYDI is kind of a buddy to me; because all of them are easily approachable and open to talk. Since the work is to develop a new product from scratch, it requires vast knowledge of the subject and I am trying to catch up with the help of my colleagues. Along with our long technical discussions, I also get to know a lot from the experiences they share. Within a short time I have got along very well with everyone here.

So far it’s been a wonderful experience at ZF. I couldn’t have asked for a better start for my career!
