Four years ago in 2013, I flew into Europe to pursue a master’s degree in Milan and to also use the chance to travel across Europe. I got all that I wished for, as I ended up living in Milan, Loughborough & Frankfurt throughout various phases of my education in Europe. Over the course of such an experience, I realized that relocating to learn has huge advantages as it gives you different scenarios, expectations, networking possibilities, and finally a strong personality to face and conquer challenges. This is precisely why I chose the ZF Trainee program, which provides a dynamic and challenging playing field to get into different ZF locations in Germany and abroad. It also gives you a chance to spend your project tenure in different businesses and departments in view of getting a good view of the company and fine tuning self-interests. The trainee program has so much to offer, e.g. we already had the chance to meet the ZF board of management within the first four months of our traineeship, so you can imagine how cool the program is ;)
Meanwhile, I am currently based in Saarbrücken for my second rotational assignment and working at the Car Powertrain Technology division for program purchasing. With some friendly colleagues around I am trying to learn some Saarländisch during breaks and trying to explore my third city of residence in Germany and so far it has been great!
It has already been six months into the program and the experience has been valuable. I am also together with some highly talented trainee colleagues, with whom I get the good learning experience of working together in joint trainee projects and blog activities. Can’t wait to take the next jump, wherein we all go abroad for our third rotational assignment.
I will keep you posted with some more updates in the next months from another location!
