A complete control system is standard equipment in the ZF scope of supply.
It is designed to control a single azimuth thruster and provides follow-up steering- and propulsion control, as well as independent backup- and emergency stop functionality.

Steering The lever can be used to provide a steering order from 0 to 360 degrees, by rotating it around its vertical axis. For easy and precise positioning of the steering order, detents are placed in the 0°, 90°, 180° and 270° position.
Propulsion Propulsion orders related to the maximum propeller RPM can be given by pushing the lever in the vertical direction.
Clutch To automatically engage and disengage the clutch, a detent is placed in propulsion lever for the clutch-in position.
