The technology automatically gets activated through the flick of a switch when drivers shift their foot off the accelerator pedal and presses the brake. It stabilizes and holds the vehicle on a slope, after disengaging the brakes thereby giving the time needed for drivers to launch the vehicle forward. It uses a pressure sensor that measures the driver’s braking demand and enables them to accelerate gently, without the intervention of the brakes or clutch.
