Heavy Duty (HD) Mechanical Steering Gears by ZF, may be supplied either as a stand-alone subsystem, or as part of a complete ‘wheel-to-wheel’ steering system solution in conjunction with a Column Drive EPS powerhead and intermediate shaft (I-shaft).
The core mechanical design is scalable for small to mid-sized passenger car and SUV applications, and for input pinion torques up to 100Nm
