eCVT Electrified CVT Transmissions
The electrified innovation for tractors by ZF
Key Facts
What can eCVT Electrified CVT Transmissions provide?
Supported by the functional integration of the electric power take-off (ePTO) in a electrified drive train (eCVT), these contribute to the optimization of system costs and vehicle integration. The special feature here is that the variator, consisting of two electric motors, is responsible for both the drive and thus the control of the transmission ratio as well as the generator functionality.
Details
eFAD - Electric Front Axle Drives
The continuously variable front-wheel drive ZF eFAD (electric Front Axle Drive) helps to optimize traction and efficiency in the whole driveline. It is available in a low or a high voltage version. This electrical front axle solution offers various advantages as compared to a rigid all-wheel link.
- Increased driving comfort through all-wheel drive
- Reduced fuel consumption and improved tractive power
- Excellent maneuverability through smaller turning cycle
TERRACOM β Condition Monitoring
Using todayβs vehicle and Transaxle infrastructure (installed sensors and actuators) to monitor the systems behavior and utilization to derive the system and its component condition and to perform a prediction or reaction.
Goals of ZF TERRACOM
- Reduce vehicle downtime in case of failure and damage
- Foster knowledge basis for future driveline development
- Streamline warranty processing - increase transparency of root-cause(s) and support aftermarket services with instant overview
