ZF Technology for Tractors and Implements
The Ideal Solution for Any Challenge
The world’s population is growing, and with it the need for food. This also increases the requirements in the agricultural economy: maximum performance is required on the part of man and machine.
Powerful tractors and efficient drive systems are therefore becoming increasingly important for the agricultural sector. ZF supplies the right technology for these needs. The company designs and develops products which contribute to higher productivity in daily use on farmland, grassland and on the road. In this respect reliability, economic efficiency, environmental compatibility and a long service life have the highest priority.
For more than eight decades already, ZF has been facing the challenges of daily agricultural routines by developing and producing axles and transmissions. ZF supplies tailor-made installation solutions, depending on operation and application type. The customer exactly gets the right solution for any requirement, from synchromesh transmissions, powershift transmissions, continuously variable transmissions and relating electronic controls, as well as rigid and steering axles for tractors, right through to drive systems for self-propelled harvesting machines.
ZF’s product range features durability, economic efficiency and easy handling. Especially under extreme working conditions the drive systems with their manifold variants offer all benefits of a mature technology which has been proven millions of times.
ZF Technology for Combine Harvesters
Rugged, Economic and Reliable
ZF’s knowhow in agricultural engineering does not end with tractors. Also self-propelled harvesting machines such as combine harvesters benefit thereof. ZF driveline technology can be found wherever especially rugged and economic technology is required. Thanks to the ZF modular system, combine harvester drives can also be used in self-propelled off-highway machines of the construction and municipal economy.
With the introduction of hydrostatic single-wheel drives ZF opens a new chapter in continuously variable drives for combine harvesters and self-propelled harvesting machines. The absence of the conventional transmission opens new possibilities for optimizing the crop flow in the vehicle and for boosting the harvesting output. The compact driveline design requires only little installation space and features high ruggedness and low maintenance requirements. For particularly difficult traction conditions the single-wheel drive can be extended to become an all-wheel drive by using an axle drive module on the steering axle.
ZF Technology for Field Robots and Compact Vehicles
100% electric - ZF eTRAC
The ZF eTRAC electric traction drive forms the technological basis for a range of possible field robot applications and compact vehicles. For self-driven vehicles, ZF offers traction drives from the eTDW transmission range.
With the GK transmission range, smaller field robots can be driven on all wheels as well as steered if required. The technology for this comes from the ZF forklift truck applications, has been tested for a long time, and can be adapted to off-road requirements easily.
