Moving in close to Washington, Michigan at the beginning was a little bit of a challenge as finding accommodation for three months could be a little hard as it isn’t really a university town unlike Ann Arbor. Also, to the topic of setting yourself up, one definitely needs a car in Michigan to make your way around as there are hardly any other pocket friendly alternatives. Weekends can be made of great use whilst living in Michigan as it has some very interesting places to visit up-north and Canada is not too far at all.
Working environment has been fun in the US as I see a general interest and curiosity amongst people about each other which is confronted during lots of small talk over coffee. The working teams are very international and you get to connect to people with different interests and perceptions (especially if you are doing strategy you see it evidently). Social networking events and team building events are also seen often involving baseball, barbeque and typical lunch/dinner gatherings. With a friendly atmosphere around it has been an enjoyable time so far working, networking & learning from the project.

"The project abroad is a great opportunity to compare working environments and working topics at a macro level."
