Value Management: My Role in Technology Transformation
I joined ZF in 2023 as an Organization Project Manager in Value Engineering & Value Analysis. Based at the Timisoara R&D Center, I optimize processes for EE Powertrain products to increase profitability. My role includes driving innovation and teamwork, tackling challenges, and advancing success in the fast-paced automotive sector.
The Journey Begins
From the outset of my career, I was drawn to the dynamic field of project management. As time went on, I ventured into different companies, each offering new challenges and learning opportunities. Handling small projects early on, I learned valuable lessons from each mistake and success. Surrounded by supportive colleagues, I built up my skills and became proficient in project management.
Then, one day, while scrolling through LinkedIn, I stumbled upon an intriguing job offer from ZF. Having already worked with ZF in the past, I decided to take a chance and apply. Before I knew it, I was part of the ZF team! Joining in 2023, my experience at ZF has been nothing short of exciting. Here, we are encouraged to share ideas and foster innovation beyond our daily tasks. As an Organization Project Manager, I play a crucial role in enabling focus, prioritization, and effective communication.
The Workday Puzzle
My main stomping ground is now the Timisoara R&D Center, however I mostly work from home office. Here at ZF, I have had the opportunity to assemble high-performing teams focused on VAVE (Value Analysis and Value Engineering) for EE Powertrain products, like inverters. Our goal? To boost profitability by optimizing various aspects of engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and project management. Every day, I dive into the nitty-gritty of improving products, implementing changes that benefit our end customers, and seeking sustainable solutions. My job is all about staying ahead of the curve, knocking down obstacles, and steering projects toward success.
Innovation and Cross-Functional Teamwork
What do I love most about my job? This role allows for a high degree of innovation and creativity in rethinking design and process, that profound sense of accomplishment in seeing a concept or idea in realization phase and the cross functional collaboration with various departments. In the fast-paced automotive industry, challenges are a part of our daily routine. But with our dedicated team and VAVE techniques, we tackle them head-on, always striving for excellence.

In three words, my work at ZF can be summed up as: creativity, execution, profitability. And what makes me a #FutureStarter? In essence a VA/VE PMO acts as a #utureStarter by driving the organization towards efficiency, innovation, and strategic focus. My role in promoting a culture of continuous improvement and adaptation prepares the organization to face future challenges and leverage opportunities for growth.
