CAE-Engineer for Computational Fluid Dynamics

Responsibilities:


  • support of the CFD group within the simulation department,

  • support of the product developments and optimization with respect to thermal and fluid mechanical behavior by the use of 3D-CFD-models derived from CAD data,

  • perform complex dynamic CFD simulations of gear boxes and hybrid drive lines, i.e. oil- & temperature distributions, pressure losses and cavitation effects, and optimize for overall system,

  • determination and assessment of the thermal behavior of components and systems,

  • conclude simulations result and derive recommendations for the next steps of the development,

  • collaboration with the measurement departments and correlate simulation results

  • further development of simulation methods, processes and descriptions of standards.

Requirements:


  • technical Engineer or physicist, preferable >2 years’ experience, M.Sc. or Ph.D,

  • well experienced in the application of the simulation methods 3D-CFD and experience with the usage of the simulation programs, e.g. such as ANSYS,

  • advanced skills in optimization tools, preferable i.e. OptiSlang,

  • enthusiasm for thermodynamics and fluid mechanics,

  • excellent English skills in spoken and written,

  • very good communication capabilities,

  • flexibility and willingness for travel,

  • capacity for team work and capability for independent working.
