Bodensee-Klassik 2017 Classic technology gone dynamic
ZF again positioned vehicles from its historical collection at the starting grid.
Bodensee-Klassik 2017, held for the sixth time this year from May 4 to 6, impressed the vintage car fans in the region with an inspiring starting field.
The 182 teams in vehicles like a 1929 Marmon Roosevelt Racer or a 1995 Ford Bronco proved that there were different ways to tackle the route of 600 km.
Just as in previous years, also some celebrity teams participated in the Lake Constance rally, such as legendary race driver Joachim Winkelhock and actor Tim Wilde in their Opel Kapitän A V8 from 1967. Among others, an Alfa Romeo Montreal as well as a BMW 327/28 Convertible from 1939 and a 1978 Opel Kadett C GT/E Coupé in rally design, courtesy of Opel Classic, participated on behalf of ZF.
Alfa first: With its almost 200 hp, the Montreal was the most powerful vehicle in ZF's starting field
En route and relaxed, thanks to ZF's automatic transmission: Dr. Holger Klein (head of Car Chassis Technology Division, ZF) and Dr. Holger Hättich (head of Marketing/Product Management at Stahlgruber GmbH)
Fabulous team in BMW 327/28 from the ZF collection: Frank Stollenmaier (CEO of Brake Force One) and Matthias Benz (head of Key Account Management, ZF)
Fans of Italy: Thomas Wenzel (ZF) and Bernd Wieland (chief editor of Auto Bild) enjoyed being in the cockpit
