100 years of ZF Friedrichshafen AG in 2015 – what better occasion to take a closer look at the history of the Schweinfurt location and to open it up to the public.

An impressive exhibition covering 850 m² is being staged in a former production hall on the plant site of ZF Friedrichshafen AG in Schweinfurt. The exhibition brings to life for visitors the colorful history of the company Fichtel & Sachs and the development of the SACHS brand with numerous exhibits, fascinating interactive stations and computer displays.

Information What you Need to Know

  • A guided tour of the exhibition can be arranged on weekdays for groups of 15 to 24 people – groups wishing to take a tour must register beforehand.
  • Tours are normally held from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • The exhibition is free of charge; donations to the charity ZF hilft in the box provided for the purpose would be greatly appreciated.
  • Children under 14 may visit the exhibition if accompanied by adults who are responsible for their supervision.
  • School classes are welcome from year seven (12-year-olds) onwards.
  • The SACHS exhibition is barrier-free, disabled toilets are available.
  • English-speaking tours can be arranged on request.

Please state in your e-mail the approximate number of people and your preferred time (3:30 p.m. or 6 p.m.).

Individuals may, however, also register for a tour.

You will then receive a reply including possible tour dates.

Conversion of the industrial hall wins German Design Award 2016

Above all, the international jury singled out “the successful conversion of an industry hall into the museum” for praise. The German Design Award is a premium international award and ranks among the world’s most prestigious design competitions.
