More Than Just A Repair:Clutch Remanufacturing at SACHS.

Clutch remanufacturing

Remanufactured clutches are a true alternative to new products.

SACHS is a leader in the field of clutch remanufacturing, even and especially in the commercial vehicle sector. Remanufactured clutches meet the highest demands in terms of quality, service life and innovation. Unlike imitation products, SACHS clutches are remanufactured using the know-how that went into the original equipment. Consequently, the clutch is not just repaired; each product receives a free upgrade during the remanufacturing process and is state of the art. These SACHS products enjoy the same warranty agreements as the new parts.

Advantages of clutch remanufacturing

Remanufactured clutches ensure stable spare part prices in times of an increasing shortage of raw materials and rising raw material prices. They distinguish themselves thanks to fast availability and also help to reduce downtimes. In doing so, they offer great value for money and are of the same quality as new parts. Furthermore, they significantly contribute to protecting the environment and resources. By specifically reusing components, energy consumption and CO2 emissions are reduced by up to 90 percent when remanufacturing the clutch.

Strict test criteria and highly qualified remanufacturing experts

All around the world, highly qualified remanufacturing experts as well as stringent process and test criteria ensure that used parts become mint condition quality products.

The remanufacturing process starts with thorough cleaning and is followed by the professional disassembly and the diagnosis of defective individual components or wear parts requiring replacement. This test is carried out by experienced specialists.

All individual components are then sent to Assembly where they are professionally prepared and are upgraded to ensure that they are state-of-the-art. In accordance with the strict standards from volume production, the parts undergo the same demanding processes, measurements and inspections as volume production products. This also includes compliance with the latest quality and environmental standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 as well as customer-specific requirements such as TS 16949.

The remanufacturing process is concluded with functional testing on the test bench. The released product can then be reintroduced to the market. Its quality can be compared to that of a new original equipment product.
