Clutch-dependent PTOs
More Than Just Driving

Commercial vehicles with one or more ZF power take-offs (PTOs) have special capabilities. The PTOs turn them into true specialists for very specific tasks which can be performed while driving or parked. They can collect garbage, clean sewer lines, clean streets, clear the snow, mow hills, mix and pump concrete, or lift and
dump heavy loads - to mention just a few of the many possibilities.
Clutch-dependent PTOs are fi tted at the output end or laterally at the transmission housing. They only operate when the engine is running and the vehicle clutch is closed.
Applications: water, sludge, and hydraulic pumps, compressors, winches, turntable-equipped fire trucks, working platforms, etc.
Clutch-dependent ZF PTOs can also be installed as aftermarket items.
