Sachs Racing Damper Fluid SRDF-045
Our engagement in the Formula 1, the WRC, the ALMS and many other race series leads to developments that go beyond limits and sets new standards. This enables us to transfer our knowledge into the development of our high performance products. This is also true for the new Sachs Racing Damper Fluid.
Oil has been used for decades to generate damping forces. Damping performance is very much dependent upon the oil quality and the requirements for racing damper oil are extremely demanding. As with many fluids, the viscosity of the oil is also very temperature sensitive – rising temperature resulting in lower damping power.
A stable viscosity is therefore one of the most important factors for the quality of the oil. This affects abrasion and wear and durability of the components. The base oil of the Sachs Racing. Damper Fluid is modified and improved by using new and innovative additives resulting in a specially developed fluid fulfilling all of the tough motor sports requirements and performing at a much higher level than ‘standard’ oil.
The overall aim was to achieve top temperature performance with low abrasion and excellent wear protection.
Absolute heat-resistance and stable damping power, wear protection for the gaskets by excellent lubrication and very good foam characteristics as well as ideal a high air separation – all these requirements have been fulfilled or exceeded by the new Sachs Racing Damper Fluid, many of them have actually been considerably enhanced.
A Damper Fluid specially developed for high performance usage:
- High viscosity stability between 40 and 140 °Celsius
- Smaller changes in damping forces leading to better performance
- Minimization of wear effects
- Reduced abrasion
