For example, in a truck fleet with 200 vehicles and an annual mileage of 100,000 kilometers per vehicle, the use of the AS Tronic automatic transmission can save up to 290,000 liters of fuel per year compared with manual transmissions.

The transmission keeps the engine running in the most economical speed range and thus transfers its performance efficiently to the drive axles. Gears are engaged at the right time without engagement jolts and load change shocks. These procedures help preserve the entire driveline and lead to additional savings. Consumption-intensive incorrect operation is prevented by the electronic control unit. Vis-à-vis the average truck driver, the AS Tronic generates fuel savings of five percent.
