ZF develops and produces automatic transmissions for all classes of passenger cars with rear, front or four-wheel drive, as well as manual transmissions for cars.
The ZF transmission line includes automatic transmissions (3-, 4-, 5-, and 6-Speed), manual transmissions (4-, 5-, and 6-Speed), sequential manual gearboxes (5- and 6-Speed), and continuously variable transmissions.

ZF Parts Factory Remanufactured Transmissions:
The ZF Parts factory remanufactured transmission program includes all ZF 5-speed passenger car transmissions used in North American vehicle applications and ZF 4-speed passenger car transmissions used in North American Audi vehicle applications. Each transmission is remanufactured to the latest specification and is tested according to OEM specifications.

Kits (soft parts):
For each specific ZF transmission application, ZF offers all the kits you need to overhaul your ZF transmission. We carry overhaul kits, friction kits, steel kits, filter kits, solenoid kits, and for some 5-speed applications even valve body kits. To achieve the outstanding shift quality ZF automatic transmissions are known for, ZF uses lubricants specifically designed for ZF automatic transmission applications. ZF Parts currently offers two manual transmission programs for the North American aftermarket. Spare parts are available for the S5-31 5-speed manual transmission as well as for the S6-40 6-speed manual transmission.
ZF S5-31 Manual Transmission:
The S5-31 5-speed manual transmission is used in BMW 3-Series (325xi, 328Ci, 328i, 330Ci, 330xi), 5-Series (525i, 528i, 530i), M3, X3 3.0xi, and Z3 (Z3 2.8, Z3 3.0, Z3 M3.2) applications.

ZF S6-40 Manual Transmission:
The S6-40 6-speed manual transmission is used in Chevrolet Corvettes (C4) in model years between 1989 and 1996 as well as Aston Martin, Lotus Omega, and GM Holden applications.
