Rubber-to-metal components
Modern vehicle construction is characterized by a high degree of safety and riding comfort as well as through low noise emissions. This is only rendered possible with complete vibration optimized concepts. For this, specifically designed elements are applied at "vibration critical" points; these elements are called rubber-to-metal components.
The main functions of a rubber composite component in a vehicle are:
- to connect components and units
- to carry out defined vibrations
- to dampen vibrations
- to absorb sounds conducted through solids
