Whether servicing for a fixed price, quickly repairing ZF-replacement units, preventative transmission overhaul in the bus and rail segment (commuter trains) to significantly extend the service life of the machine, or conversions and retrofitting for more security, comfort and cost efficiency, we have the optimum solution ready for you.

To inspect ZF products, we also configure individual systems such as the ZF Testman or the open telematics platform Openmatics . If a problem has been determined, these programs will issue a message as a precaution. This prevents downtimes.

Transmission oil is not subject to any change interval. However, it is still recommended to have a ZF Services contract partner complete an oil change for cars after 100,000 km and for commercial vehicles after about 250,000 km. The transmission is then able to shift better and the service life is significantly increased.

The high performance transmission oil ZF LifeguardFluid, recommended and manufactured by ZF, reduces material wear, vibrations and noise. This ensures smoother gear shifting, reduced service intervals and maximum consumption reduction.

During a standard oil change, the transmission oil is completely drained. The control unit is taken apart, cleaned and all worn parts are replaced (for 4/5 HP transmission variants), and the oil filter is changed. The oil regeneration using the ZF oil change kit is affordably priced and faster. The remaining oil in the torque converter and in the control mixes with the refilled new ZF-Lifeguard High Performance transmission oil. Therefore, the complete oil change is far more effective.

Specific economic criteria will determine whether your transmission is to be serviced or whether you opt in favor of a ZF replacement transmission. First-class quality is guaranteed in both cases. The replacement takes place directly via ZF Services or one of our 650 service locations worldwide and quick, smooth, and secure processing is guaranteed. Competence directly from the manufacturer.

The customer receives an overhauled product [including one year warranty]; reworked according to the quality standards in volume production. Based on the generous replacement of wear parts with new parts and consideration of technical innovations in reworking, the replacement transmission is always at the current production status.

ZF replacement transmissions are economically and ecologically the best solution. The normally overhauled original parts that are maintained with the same quality as our current series products are available within a short amount of time. Downtimes are restricted to removal and installation times only; and your top performer is already back on the street.

For remanufactured ZF transmissions, the environmental carbon load is a third less than for new production. Preparing transmissions by protecting resources after their service life has expired instead of scrapping them - ZF services ensures mobility in harmony with nature.

If the utilization conditions for your commercial vehicle change, then the technology requirements will frequently change as well. A retrofitting or application change can thus be a worthwhile investment. Your vehicle will master trips better and more economically with retrofitted ZF units: The ZF-Intarder for example, ensures a far more secure and wear-free braking, or ZF-gearchange systems for relieving the driver.

If, moreover, you want your vehicles to power pumps, winches, and other auxiliary applications, then we will provide you with the fitting PTOs, either as a clutch-, engine dependent, or vehicle driven version. Depending on the respective application, the robust technology can be adapted directly to the corresponding transmission. ZF developed the PTOs for light, medium, and heavy trucks and, in addition to the automatic transmission systems of the ZF-AS Tronic family , it can also be flanged to the Ecomat, Ecolite, Ecomid, Ecosplit, and TC-Tronic product ranges.

Upon customer request or the vehicle manufacturer, software updates of electronic control devices are completed for bus and commercial vehicles. Fuel savings are achieved by increasing shifting comfort and improving the shifting strategy. The TopoDyn Life drive program for example constantly adapts the shift points during travel, depending on the topography. It saves up to 19 percent fuel compared to transmissions without TopoDyn Life .
