A car’s wheel suspension and damping systems ensure good road surface contact and minimize vibration and noise. These components also enhance safety and accentuate the car’s character. ZF supplies tried and tested suspension modules including the Nivomat leveling system to keep the vehicle at the right height – which makes driving safer and minimizes wear on vehicle components. Even more safety is guaranteed by the variable CDC (Continuous Damping Control) system. With a fraction of a second, the damping force is electronically adjusted from hard to comfortably soft to match the road conditions. Networked with other vehicle components, CDC becomes part of an intelligent chassis capable of reacting to a variety of driving situations.
