CVT-driveline concept for combine harvesters

With the implementation of hydrostatic single wheel drives ZF opens a new chapter with regard to continuously variable drives for combine harvesters and self-propelled harvesting machines. This new drive is based on continuously variable and specific low-loss operating radial piston motors. The omission of the centrally arranged manual transmission also enables new possibilities to optimize the flow in the vehicle and to increase the harvesting output. In case of particularly difficult tractor conditions you have the option to expand the single wheel drive by an axle drive module at the steering axle into a four wheel drive.
