Clutches

The clutch systems from ZF Sachs Race Engineering have brought motor sports teams worldwide to the forefront, from mass sports to Formula 1.

Successful technology, which has been developed, built and manufactured by ZF SRE. Technology, which even in the Performance range means perfect tuning to the respective performance class of the vehicle, all to ensure optimal and safe transmission.

The fundamental advantage of Sachs Performance Clutches compared with OE clutches results in a higher life span and in a superior thermal resistance.

Changes to OE performance clutch:

  • higher convertible torque

  • reduced release travel

Clutch disc with torsion springs and organic friction material

Changes to OE performance clutch:

  • the torque damper has a higher stop position: maximum capacity of the torsion damper unit before stop position of locating rivets.
  • higher convertible torque
  • start performance similar to OE
  • Clutch discs with torsion springs function as vibration damper between engine and gearbox
