The fundamental advantage of performance clutches compared with OE clutches results in a higher life span and in a superior thermal resistance. Discs with organic friction material have a superior burst limit because of pasting and riveting the clutch plates. The friction coefficient of the sintered metal plates is very high which leads to a higher convertible torque. Due to the reinforced clutch components, the pedal force can increase and the modulation range can be reduced. Additional clutch and gear noises can appear.
