8-speed hybrid transmission: Lower consumption and more agility
In future ZF hybrid transmissions, the electric motor, clutch, torsional vibration damper, and hydraulics for a full hybrid concept have been fitted in ZFs automatic 8-speed transmission in a space-saving and efficient manner. The operational functions for the hybrid transmission with the above-mentioned components are also supplied by ZF. Functional integration makes the control of the hybrid system efficient. At the output end, the hybrid version of the automatic 8-speed transmission has also been designed in such a way that it can be combined with all-wheel drive systems. The hybridization approach supports and extends the driving dynamics features of the automatic transmission, such as direct engine connection and agility, precise shifting quality, and comfortable handling.
