Driving with AS Tronic is just terrific!

"There are of course also skeptics in our company who dislike the thought of not changing gears themselves. Obviously, you cannot force people to be happy. However, we do have a lot of drivers who were honest enough to say: Driving with AS Tronic is just terrific!

In the near future we must expect that there will not be enough well-trained truckers on the labor market. This would be a big advantage for the AS Tronic: Even beginners or inexperienced drivers cannot make the mistake of shifting the wrong gears, not even in manual mode. This is an important contribution to reduce wear and tear on material. Quite apart from the optimal operating conditions in the automatic mode.

Completely positive experiences

We have noticed a considerable increase in safety, particularly in local or inner city areas. The driver has both hands on the steering wheel and can fully concentrate on everything that is going on around his truck. Thinking about whether the correct gear has been engaged becomes obsolete. By optimally adjusting engine and transmission in the automatic mode, we are even expecting small savings in terms of fuel costs when adding up all drivers and vehicles.

And all of the 62 vehicles we purchased in 2006 have so far served their purpose without showing any damage. We havea fi eld test truck in our fl eet with a mileage of 1.2 millionkilometers which has never suffered any damage either. For this reason, we are convinced that we set the right course in 2006. Based on these experiences which have been completely positive in terms of economy, safety, and maintainability, the H. Freund forwarding company will equip their vehicles with AS Tronic transmissions also in the future. My boss and I have already agreed on this.”
