Many ZF products can be obtained as optional vehicle equipment. When the car buyer purchases the vehicle, s/he decides on whether to order these add-ons – and, in the end, this decision also influences ZF's scope of production. So far, it has been the dealer's or salesperson's job to convince the customer of the qualities offered by ZF technology.
