• ZF Trading presents updated Sachs technical brochure

The service life of a clutch depends to a large degree on the individual driving style and concrete conditions of use it is subjected to, because it too is a wearing part just like tires and brakes. This makes it all the more important for car workshops to ensure that clutches receive careful maintenance. ZF Trading regularly provides workshops, wholesale dealerships, and mechanics' training institutes with current information about its product groups, in order to enhance mechanics' professional knowledge and diagnostic skills. The company has just released a brochure on "Passenger Car Powertrain Components. Design, Operations, Diagnostics".

This updated guide contains comprehensive information on diagnosing operational problems and numerous illustrations of damaged parts with explanations of causes and effects, as well as tips on operating errors, operational tests, maintenance, and installation. Concise texts and generous graphics support the repair process, and also serve as valuable accompanying material for customer consultations.

One part of the brochure consists of an extensive description of the design and operations of different Sachs clutch models and their individual components. A further focus lies on the dual-mass flywheel, the torque converter, and rubber-to-metal parts – all original Sachs brand-name replacement components for the passenger car powertrain sector. The brochure also includes important information on environmental protection and recycling/waste disposal.

Thanks to its close cooperation with engineers and technicians at the ZF Sachs AG Development Center, the technical service department of ZF Trading is able to provide the replacement parts market with detailed current information on Sachs products. Over 500 new items were added to the powertrain range in 2007 alone, which shows how important it is to update the corresponding service materials on a regular basis and thus provide partners with valuable support.

The "Passenger Car Powertrain Components" brochure is currently available in German, and will soon appear in the languages of other major markets.
