ZF Friedrichshafen AG has finalized a supply agreement with Chrysler LLC in the United States that sees the supply of axle drives and axles for Chrysler vehicles beginning in 2010. Chrysler is currently building a new axle production facility with a planned capacity of 500,000 axles. Once completed, the plant is expected to employ 350 employees. With this new contract, ZF will invest in production and assembly systems in North America, and will transfer R&D and manufacturing know-how through its production of axle drives and axles there.
