ZF Helps

ZF Helps is a charitable organization that provides worldwide humanitarian aid. Even in difficult economic times, the staff of ZF and the Group itself take their social responsibility to heart and have donated a total of €350,000 to the relief project "Microfinance in India."

Tsunami projects

"ZF Helps" and "Hilfswerk für Menschen in Not e.V." jointly financed the building of seven houses for foster families in Sri Lanka. A widow who had lost her husband in the flood was provided with a new house. In addition to her own children, she takes care of eight to ten orphans.

Earthquake in Kaschmir/Pakistan

"ZF Helps" financed the building of waterproof, heated emergency shelters desperately needed by the victims of the earthquake in northern Pakistan shortly before the onset of winter in November 2005.

The organization

The executive bodies of "ZF Helps" are made up of equal numbers of ZF representatives and employees who jointly decide on the allocation of the donated funds. In addition to rapid intervention measures, ZF support is aimed at projects that meet the conditions of "sustainability" and "help for self-help." It is considered important for the aid recipients to contribute, in line with local conditions, to improving their own life situation.

Donations

Since it was first organized, "ZF Helps" has collected around EUR 2.4 million for aid projects. The fund is made up of cash and flextime donations from ZF employees in Germany, together with donations from the ZF Group. All the money donated is used for aid projects, without any deductions for administration or handling costs.
