Environmental protection principles and objectives
ZF products play an important role in mobility worldwide. This places the onus on the company to continuously improve the long-term environmental compatibility of its products and services and protect natural resources.
Principles
The ZF environmental policy is regularly reviewed and is compulsory for all employees. This policy is based on the following principles:
- ZF designs products and production processes to be as energy- and resource-efficient as possible. All investments are based on state-of-the-art environment-friendly technologies.
- ZF implements appropriate measures to avoid environmentally harmful incidents and to restrict their impact in the event of an occurrence. The company complies with the applicable environmental legislation and regulations.
- ZF includes employees in the development and implementation of its environmental policies. The company regularly trains and encourages them to actively contribute to environmental protection.
- ZF continuously improves operational environmental protection and includes suppliers in this process.
- The company applies suitable management systems to implement the formulated objectives worldwide, regularly review target performance and take the necessary action for improvement in the event of non-conformance.
- ZF promotes local dialog on environmental protection issues with customers, suppliers, authorities and all stakeholders with regular reports on the effects of environmental activities.
