ZF develops into one of the world’s leading automotive supplier groups specializing driveline and chassis technology. Despite the fallout from the worldwide recession in the early nineties leading to declining sales at ZF, the company recovers by adopting a strategy of rationalization and restructuring. The challenge of the Asian market is faced head on by ZF starting up a number of joint-venture companies, primarily in China.
