ZF registered positive developments in the region of South America. Already in 1958, the company founded its first location abroad, in Brazil. Since then, ZF has gained a large market share. ZF holds position one or two in the respective market segments in driveline technology. Sales of almost euro 500 million is generated with approximately 4,400 employees. Transmissions for trucks and buses as well as clutches for all applications are produced there. ZF has the same market position for chassis and steering components. Today, South America is considered an important market regarding driveline and chassis technology for passenger cars, trucks, and buses. Eleven percent of the world’s bus production alone comes from this region.
