Innovations are the motor for healthy economic growth. As innovation leader, the ZF Group continues its series of lectures from the previous term in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Ravensburg-Weingarten (HRW). This shall not only convey practical knowledge but also serve as platform for discussion. On Wednesday, October 26, Dr. Michael Paul, member of the Board of Management of ZF Friedrichshafen AG responsible for the Industrial Technology Division, will give a speech on the "Strategic ZF Group alignment in global technology competition".
"University support in the region is an important component for us as responsible company", says Marco Reich, Director HR Development/Employer Branding at ZF. Thus, the innovation forum contributes to ZF's committment in terms of financing endowed chairs, providing intern or graduate student jobs, or numerous cooperation schemes, for example.
Two times over the course of this term, the students will be informed about companies' responses to market requirements. The first speaker is Dr. Michael Paul, member of the Board of Management responsible for the Industrial Technology Division. The students receive first-hand information on the challenges for ZF as driveline and chassis expert and on the Group's strategic procedures. Another lecture is delivered by Audi AG.
The forum will also consider the current situation on the labor market. "As a technological leader, we need employees with ideas and visions", Reich emphasizes. In times of shortage of qualified staff, availability of these experts is limited. The lectures with subsequent discussion round are public and take place on Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. in the main building of the University of Applied Sciences Ravensburg-Weingarten.
