Environmental Award

Ever since 1996, ZF has been awarding an Environment Prize for special services towards improving the environmental performance of the company, to raising employee awareness of environmental issues and to the environmental compatibility of its products. This prize is awarded on an annual basis.

In the year 2006, the prize was awarded to a team of the Corporate Research and Development in Friedrichshafen. By further development of the design method of simultanuous engineering in terms of environmental protection, all experts were involved in an early project status at the same time. Thereby unilateral determinations in the advanced engineering were avoided and the product properties with an advantage for the environment were improved.
