Being worldwide one of the leading suppliers of the automobile industry, ZF has been active in motor sport as well. Products of the ZF Sachs Race Engineering GmbH, a subsidiary of the ZF Sachs AG, can be found in the racing cars of most known racing classes - from professional sport in Formula-One racing and DTM to popular automobile sport. ZF Sachs is involved in some series also as a sponsor.

ZF provides technical equipment for Truck Race. Racing transmissions, racing differentials, as well as dampers and clutches are used at the FIA European Truck Racing Cup. ZF and ZF Sachs are also committed to Formula Truck in Brazil.
