A long service life for components and systems is a declared ZF objective. However, great emphasis is put on the reduction of operating costs as well. These are subjects which are closely tied up with service. ZF has diagnostic systems which can be expanded through to remote diagnosis. To ensure that the workshops can carry out repair work professionally, ZF offers product, repair and diagnosis instructions in special training centers. Furthermore a wide range of Repair Manuals and Operation Manuals is available for ZF customers. Rapidly available exchange units and spare parts reduce downtimes to a minimum. The extension of service intervals also leads to a considerable productivity increase of vehicle operation. As a result of this it is possible to increase service intervals of ZF ERGOPOWER transmissions to 2,000 hours upon customer request.
