The recycling of used parts in exchange for the refund of a deposit and their industrial remanufacturing have developed into a worldwide trend. The approach is simple: When replacing the used part, the workshop puts it back into the original packaging of the spare part and recycles it via the wholesale channel. It thus provides the raw material for remanufacturing and serves as a driver of a sustainable and future-oriented concept.
Cores must be included in the returns list and fulfill a number of technical minimum requirements in order to be approved for the remanufacturing process. They must be:
Moreover, the used parts should be included in the returns list and must be identifiable.
Diaphragm spring fractured
Pressure plate cracked
Friction lining fractured
Clutch disc dished (cambered) with worn hub
Pressure plate overheated
Part heavily corroded
The return of used parts is managed via www.CoremanNet.com.
Step 1: Back-in-box
Place the used part in the intact original box of the replacement product and store it in a dry place until it is picked up. This ensures the best possible protection of the used parts as well as quick identification.
Step 2: Collection
The wholesaler collects the used parts from their customers. Afterwards, they complete a form and submit the request for collection. Finally, the service provider put in charge collects the parts from a central location.
Step 3: Sorting station
Competent employees inspect, identify, and evaluate all incoming used parts at so-called sorting stations. The used parts must be included in the returns list and fulfill a number of technical minimum requirements in order to be approved for the remanufacturing process (complete, not disassembled, uncleaned, no mechanical damage, no severe corrosion damage). In addition, it must be ensured that threads, oil bores, and plug connections are protected from transport damage, e.g. by using the protective covers of the new part for the used part.
Step 4: Credit note
The sorting report is usually available promptly. A credit note is issued upon agreement.
By the way: CoremanNet accepts all used parts, even if they cannot be remanufactured, e.g. because they cannot be identified, are not listed in the replacement parts range, or do not meet the technical minimum requirements. For these used parts, a refund of their basic value is paid, which is based on the material value.
